Hi. I'm Speechie.

My name is Erik HR, and I'm a creative orignally from Detroit, Michigan. I work internationally as a software engineer & content creator. I started this blog not only to showcase my works, but to create documentation of my travels and give a point of reference for so many who may wish to do some of the things that I enjoy.

Erik HR is an African-American Software Engineer and Creative Developer working globally.

I'm the founder of 2 companies : Robertson Analytics and AroiTech Thailand. When I'm not coding, I'm usually helping my team make critical decisions about our clients projects. Because I'm a creative, I'm able to translate the vision of my clients while still mainitaining my technical ability.

Although I love building websites and apps, my first love is photography and videography. You can see some of my visual work, here.

1988

Born alongside my twin brother in Detroit, MI USA by the most awesome parents in the world.

1999

Discovered Skateboarding, which was something that would change the trajectory of my life forever. Didn't really start skating until 2002.

2002

Got my first skateboard.

2003

Recieved my first 35mm camera, a Nikon N90.

2004

Received the nickname "Speechie" after writing a poem in history class to counter another students right wing views. Recieved a standing ovation.

2006

Took my first trip to Japan at 18. Met a lot of people that would be lifelong friends, and also discovered the untangible values of traveling abroad. Felt like an alien when I came back to America.

2007

Published my first blog, SpeechieForPrez.

2010

Opened up my own home studio in Detroit at the age of 22.

2011

Expanded my interests in the culinary world. Started experimenting with recipes with co-workers and teammates. Created a solid customer base for my food.

2016

Moved to Los Angeles, CA to skate everyday while pursuing a more colorful culinary career & expanding my horizons creatively.

2019

Relocated to SouthEast Asia where I eventually launched my first company. Expanded my reach within the international community and made plans for expansion. Traveled to a new destination every month.
